1) First of all, choosing the right material is important. Very thick and rough fabrics are not suitable for the creation of our keepsakes. Very delicate materials such as silk, which could easily tear, are also not suitable.

2) Please make sure that the clothes or fabrics you send are washed.

The number of pieces you send us depends on the specific product and its size. To create a blanket from children’s/baby clothing, please calculate approximately 2x the amount.

Blankets

Medium blanket 110 x 140 cm: 10 pieces of clothing  (kids sizes 20 pieces)

Large blanket 140 x 190 cm: 13 pieces of clothing (kids sizes 26 pieces)

Plushies

Teddy / Elephant:  up to 4 pieces of clothing

Pillows

Rectangle / Square:  4 pieces of clothing (kids clothing 6 pieces)

Helpful tip:   If you send more pieces of clothing than required, your keepsake will be more colorful and will allow our seamstresses to be more creative in the process.

Blanket

It depends on the specific requirements of the blanket. Smaller blankets are usually completed faster that larger ones. However, in general, the standard delivery time of blankets is  4-6 weeks.

Plushie

The standard delivery time is 3-4 weeks.

Pillow

The standard delivery time is 3-4 weeks.

Yes, you can. We standardly offer the back fabric of blankets in either high-quality cotton fabric, flannel or with a soft “waffle” material. Unless you have a specific color or pattern in mind, you can leave this choice up to the creative know-how of our seamstresses. If you have your own fabric that you would like to use for the back side, please send it along with your other materials after letting us know the type of material it is. 

Blankets will be delivered to you in a beautiful, handmade basket that was made at the sheltered workshop SANSIMON Ltd.

Plushies and pillows  come in a gift sack with a ribbon.

If a piece of clothing was not used at all, we will send it back to you with your finished product. We do not, however, send back cut up clothing remnants, so please specifically request in the order form if you would like them back. 

We cannot accept a keepsake back unless they are actually faulty. Please note that there is a wide variation in how the keepsakes come out. Due to the very different natures of the fabrics we receive, the final item may not look exactly like the pictures on our website. If you are not happy with your order for any reason please get in touch straight away to discuss it. 

Our products are handmade, so we highly recommend hand washing for plushies and pillows. You can wash the blankets in the washing machine at 30 °C.
